Abstract:Many employers are teaching transferred employees to evaluate and market their own homes to sell the property quickly at a good price. Such assistance avoids the costly practice of taking the properties into corporate inventories. Most often, a relocation service company helps the transferee prepare a marketing guidance plan (MGP) to sell the home. The first task of the marketing process is to set a realistic selling price for the property. To do this, the MGP will recommend the procurement of two or three broker market analysis and strategy reports from local real estate brokers. Based on this information, the MGP will outline proven measures to be implemented on a specified time line, typically 60 days. Some data on savings due to the MGP are provided.
