Abstract: | The diversity of the service sector is one of the problems which renders the scientific research more difficult. For this reason this paper emphasizes the necessity to develop classification schemes for services. In this context it has been shown that existing classification schemes are based upon an inductive proceeding, i.g. they orientate at characteristics of particular services. This requires the knowledge of the peculiarities of the services to be analysed. In contrast to this a deductive proceeding is presented. It is based upon the construct of complexity which is used in the system theory. The derived factors for classification can therefore be used for any kind of service. This meets the requirements which result from the diversity of services. |
