Abstract:This report examines the market for disposable nappies. Over 80% of parents of infants in the UK now use disposable nappies, with product improvements (absorbency, leak-prevention and thinness), combined with the convenience of use, helping to sustain purchase. The trend towards thinner nappies has continued, with Huggies claiming to be up to 50% thinner than other leading brands and Pampers launching its own Ultra Thin variant in the year of 1993.
