Abstract:Many employers claim to believe in racial equality; fewer take action to achieve it. The authors explain how a new Commission for Racial Equality standard can help, with a special focus on developing and retaining staff. Debate about racial equality in employment has been shifting steadily over the past few years. There is a new and growing understanding that equality measures are good for effectiveness when it comes to both individuals and to systems.
