| Abstract: | Self-directed learning offers a deep level of learning. Trainees can learn at their own pace and determine their own level of expertise. In self-directed learning, individual evaluations test whether each trainee learned the required skills. Self-directed learning has its challenges and limitations. Trainers should approach it with the same systematic rigor as they approach other learning activities. |
