Abstract: | Tree bucking is the initial production process in converting felled trees into usable wood products. This problem has not been formulated as a branch-and- bound method until now. Using the B&B method, the author solves the problem and tests it by varying several parameters. The size of the solution sets searched by the technique varies from 40 to 41,000 possible combinations. |
