| Abstract: | This article deals with corruption (here as: corr.) in Russia (as: R.) under the leadership of President Vladimir Putin from 2000 to 2008. It has been admitted by president Putin that one of his failures as president was the inability to resolve the issue of corr. in R. Topics include the impact of R.'s growing involvement with global economy on corr. inside R., the political will of post-May 2008 leadership, and the author's hope of reduced corr. possibly leading to reduced rates of organized crime in Russia. |
