Abstract:The Baltic leaders and their European neighbours want closer cooperation in their social and economic processes. In order to produce results political decisions must be followed by action. An example of this was the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Lithuania on September 13, 1993 in Tallin. The article tries to outline the process that led to that event as well as to describe in more detail what this agreement is about and how it benefits individual businessmen operating in the Baltics.
