Abstract:In the article, issues of external relations related to EU are presented. Included are trade relations of bilateral and multilateral kind, Lome convention, World Trade Organization (or WTO) and some specific cases of law and/or regulations. EU foreign ministers have agreed mechanisms which will allow European companies to seek redress in European courts if they are sued in the USA under the Helms-Burton act because of operations in Cuba. The EU and South Korea have signed a framework agreement for trade and cooperation. The Commission is proposing far-reaching changes in the EU relations with 70 African, Caribbean and Pacific (or ACP) countries which are trade partners for the countries.
