| Abstract: | This article surveys western business ethics' recent history. It argues that the neglect of religious tradition in the business ethics of the western world has confused the role of ethics in business education and has weakened the distinctiveness of certain higher education institutions. Dealt are relationship of business ethics and mainstream philosophy, ethics in management education, and importance of religion to business. |
