| Abstract: | This article examines the effect of European Monetary Union (EMU) on the integration of financial services in Europe. The writers find some evidence that EMU has helped the integration. Also, financial institutions in EMU countries became more active in starting integration between EMU and non-EMU partners. This suggests that eurozone-based institutions became stronger players in the corporate control market. |
