Abstract:Lifelong learning is no longer restricted to simply recurrent education, but is more a broadly-based, aimed at several objectives: to foster personal development, including the use of time outside work, to strengthen democratic values, to cultivate community life, to maintain social cohesion, and to promote innovation, productivity and economic growth.
