| Abstract: | There is a need to explore post-acquisition director turnover which is a complex and multi-faceted phenomenon. This study examines the likelihood of non-executive director (hereafter as: non-exec. dir/s.) turnover in target firms after an acquisition. It is herein proposed that the likelihood of target non-exec. dir/s. turnover depends on the factors determining the director performance in their monitoring, advisory and social roles pre-acquisition and during the acquisition process etc. |
