Abstract:There are several possibilities to characterize and empirically analyse the price knowledges of consumers other than it has been done up to now. As a new approach, the present article gives special attention to the various contents of the price knowledges of consumers when buying goods for short-term, periodic needs. The potential price knowledges are then classified according to form and content. The empirical results of a survey are presented in the course of which the price knowledge content of 320 consumers was investigated.
