| Abstract: | The underlying political framework is an important aspect of organizational decision making process: 1/ a series of steps to goals, 2/ clinical models, 3/ information as a decision tool, 4/ policy preferences and strategic choices 5/ political models. Characters in decision making: 1/ the traditionalist, 2/ the team coach, 3/ the company baron, 4/ the visionary. Behavioral outlines are suggested. Politics as an art of influencing others: keeping people comfortable and secure; cultivate contacts; motivation; bargaining and conflict resolution etc. Decision making involves prioritizing often conflicting objectives from the corporate down to individual level. |
