Abstract:The reasons to make presentations: explanation, persuasion, therapy. There are two main sections: the preparation and the delivery of presentation. According to the purposes there are PR, sales, and managerial presentations. While one prepares a presentation, he or she has to know a lot about the client (organization, problems, decision-makers etc.). Making presentation is a performance. The number and the needs of the listeners have considerable influence on seating plans. The listeners need visual support, comfort, involvement. The importance of right timing. The role of questions and answers. The support function of facts, statistics, definitions, examples. A comparison matrix of six popular audiovisual formats.
