| Abstract: | The countdown has already begun to the EEC goal of a unified internal market by 1992. But it is not yet clear if there is much action behind the ocean of words. There is a sceptical opinion that concerning the banking field, the directives only aim at cosmetic changes to regulation rather than a comprehensive deregulation. For example, different member countries have different banking rules. How to make a joint banking reform which would be compulsory to each country? |
