| Abstract: | The importance of joint venture enterprises is estimated in global international investment and in the national economies where joint ventures are sited. The estimates draw on Department of Commerce data on ownership patterns in foreign affiliates operating in the US and US affiliates operating abroad and numerous countries' estimates of the importance of foreign affiliates in their domestic economies. |
