| Abstract: | A checklist of managerial success in the '90s is presented. Effective managers are change agents, externalists, influencers, developers and revenue enhancers; the keywords here are attention, change, power, coaching, responsibility, profit. Effective managers are proactive - not reactive - in thought and action, and they are innovators, hustlers and scramblers /initiative, urgency, risk-taking, accountability, goals/. Effective managers are network builders, team players, boundary crossers and resource shares. A test is shown for trying out how effective you are as a manager. |
