Abstract:The most basic aspects of social acceptance of a company are examined. An active environmental protection is identified as one of the most important prerequisites for a company to be socially accepted. A number of obligatory preferences in the managerial activities are specified: 1. the need of a dynamic growth strategy; 2. entry into important new markets; 3. successful research and development; 4. effective motivation of employees; 5. cross-cultural training of managers and subordinates; 6. efficient organizational design and organizational development. As an example the optimal solution of the problem of plant location is described. It is shown how a company's social acceptance can be a competitive factor.
