Abstract: | London has been long in the centre of European finance, but the slide in business now could just be the start of a lasting loss of market share. The opening up of European borders will put British finance houses against the huge German conglomerates, the American powerhouses and the French. Several opinions of a number of businessmen are cited, giving reasons of this phenomenon and trying to show ways out of the present situation of British finances business losing. The future of global stock trade is seen as a system where the equities of international corporations will be traded 24 hours a day on one electronic marketplace. |
