Abstract:The article investigates the impact of socializing activities in family firms to discover if there are specific characteristics in this type of firms' socializing processes that create an atmosphere that favor's employees' commitment to the company. The study utilizes a concept from sociological approach called moral economy. The data for the study was collected through a questionnaire and the findings indicate that a special type of socialization, and especially the emotional mediation in family firms, favors the non-economic links between employers and employees.
