Abstract:Trust is a fundamental aspect of the ethical treatment of stakeholders in the relationship between a stakeholder and the organization. Stakeholders trust that their contributions or stakes will be repaid by the organization by giving benefits or protection from harm. However, usually, the company has more power than the stakeholder and sometimes it can not be trusted, therefore stakeholders must rely on the trustworthiness of the organization to fulfill its obligations. The idea of organizational trustworthiness constructed in this paper is presented as a solution to possible problems between stakeholders and organizations, although it does not create ethical obligation where none existed before.
