| Abstract: | Data security is a major issue when establishing a method to move data throughout a system. Security of data in a VSAT-based system consists of securing the data as it is transferred to and from the satellite in such a way as to maintain its confidentiality. A VSAT-based system provides a higher degree of data security than that which is found in a terrestrial-based communications system. |
