| Abstract: | The Astra DBS system now operational is examined. The Astra system consisting of two satellites, Astra 1A and 1B, will be able to provide 32 medium power transponders. It puts the SES in the middle of European TV satellite power controversy which is now going to the U.S. with the announcement of DBS proposals of K-Prime and Sky Cable. |
