| Abstract: | Before buying or leasing a satellite transponder, or entering into a service agreement with a satellite operator, several facts must be considered. The estimated useful life of the satellite, the technical ability of the transponder , the necessary government approvals for service provision should be warranted. All agreements should provide for interruptions, failures, and successor rights clauses. |
