| Abstract: | Eastern Europe is potentially a great area for satellite communications with very poor terrestrial infrastructure, but they seem to prefer a big expensive terrestrial kit to the quick fix offered by satellites. Though telecommunications liberalizations has started, there is still a great deal of resistance among many PTTs who fear a loss of revenue if private enterprises can set up its own network. |
