Abstract:The U.S. Social Security Administration installed a satellite system in 1989 to streamline its training programme for outlying offices. It consists of a hub at the SSA's Baltimore headquarters and 28 remote locations in major cities. The system provides full motion NTSC video over a Ku-band satellite.
