Abstract:A lot of smaller governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) are eager to establish communication links with the outside world. Valery Bogdanov, the president of Morsviazsputnik, the Russian signatory to Inmarsat met with IDB Communications and signed an agreement for joint service offerings with the Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC). At press time, Russian military satellite, Geizer, was to be redeployed by a joint venture called Sokol America.
