| Abstract: | The Latin American countries and Mexico have to solve the communication services of the rural areas. Taking into account the special geographical characteristics they usually choose the use of satellite systems. The most marked progress was made by Mexico establishing a national rural communications project. It meets many kinds of needs, e.g. efficient use of satellite bandwidth. |
