| Abstract: | While in the U.S. a few years ago about 400 videoconferencing systems were installed, at present their number is over 2000 and further enhancement is to be expected. Of course, the requirements also grow and technology should be developed: better picture quality at lower data rates. Since these systems are rather expensive a further aim is to reduce prices. |
