Abstract: | Inmarsat, the International Maritime Satellite Organization was formed in 1979 operating with a nine-satellite system linking 20 coast earth stations. As a non-profit company it operates on a pay-as-you-go basis. Inmarsat plans the development of avionics and antenna systems. A significant service is the aeronautical satellite communications service for Canadian air ambulance in remote places. The company deals with land mobile service, too. |
