| Abstract: | Betting on sporting events can be regarded as a tradition in Las Vegas. Recently a new facility called SuperBook has been constructed. Giant projection television screens are located on a large area and cashiers and betting windows are found beneath them. Incoming signals are received through 14 antennas. The present system having a control over 32 satellite receivers, can easily be expanded. The-thirds of its action is horse racing, but betting extends to football, baseball, boxing and tennis as well. |
