| Abstract: | Intelsat V proved to be a successful series since 15 satellites were ordered altogether. This time 11 satellites are operating and two further are to be launched this year to make possible business services between the USA and Europe. Intelsat V's work well over their design life; the first remains in use until 1992, i.e. five years longer than originally planned. |
