| Abstract: | In 1986 China announced that its satellite launching service is available for foreign customers charging 20% less than the present global rates. They are offering a launch 30 months after signing a contract. Besides the U.S. Pakistan , Sweden and the U.K. half a dozen other countries are interested in the offer. China has also proposed the construction of an $ 800 million equatorial launch site in Indonesia in cooperation with Singapore. China is to launch its own space shuttle by 2000. |
