| Abstract: | Brazil's federal telecom operator, Embratel prepares for bids on its second generation of domestic communications satellites to replace the present Brasilsat I and II. According to government sources, telephone and television will continue to be the biggest users of Brasilsat capacity.One of the frontrunners for the new satellite is the Canadian company, Spar Aerospace Ltd. China is also interested in the launch contract for the next communications satellite. |
