Abstract:In all financial markets, the security market is the most risky and, therefore, most in need of supervision. From the historical point of view, development and supervision of the security market have always gone simultaneously. That is to say, without supervision, especially that from the government, there would not have been healthy growth of security market today. Government supervision over the security market might be more effective than supervision over other areas. China's security market is marked with late start and rapid growth, but there already arises the urgent call for a supervisory system suitable fir the Chinese situation. This system aims at bringing the function of market self-regulation organization into full play under centralized and unified supervision of the government.
