| Abstract: | International alliances are increasingly central to corporate success, and their use is growing throughout the world. But they often fail. In many cases, the failure stems from the deal maker's concentration on strategic, financial, and legal complexities, while largely ignoring issues of "cultural compatibility" among the alliance partners. Once the "deal is done", the cultural dynamics of the alliance become a barrier to success. |
