| Abstract: | Apologies create legal liabilities for the apologist. Against apologies recommend corporate attorneys routinely. A review of common law and formal law indicates that apologies don´t constitute evidence of guilt. Sometimes apologies have positive consequences for the apologist. Crisis communication teachers and practicers should avoid the mistake of relying on inaccurate and over-simplified understanding. |
