Abstract:Apologies create legal liabilities for the apologist. Against apologies recommend corporate attorneys routinely. A review of common law and formal law indicates that apologies donĀ“t constitute evidence of guilt. Sometimes apologies have positive consequences for the apologist. Crisis communication teachers and practicers should avoid the mistake of relying on inaccurate and over-simplified understanding.
