Abstract: | This paper discusses the process of value creation and the concept of value envy, which follows when the value captured is considerably higher than the value created at one stage of the value system. Within the popular music industry the value created at the stage of music publishing has decreased steadily, but the value captured has remained high. The objective of this study is to describe new entry and vertical integration and explain the value envy in the field of popular music . |
