Abstract:Animal testing exposes the companies involved, and their investors, to risk. Therefore, socially responsible investors (SRI) should discuss the moral and ethical questions that arise. Although people are generally against animal testing, the rational reasons for it should be understood by investors. In investment funds, efforts should be made to practice socially responsible investing. Alternatives to companies using animal testing should be looked for, and this should be communicated to clients.
