Abstract:This article analyses the relationship between business ethics and the well-being of a nation. There is a large amount of research data on well-beings of nations across the globe, but researchers are dissatisfied with conventional measures such as GDP, so they attempt to develop alternative measures that are more suitable. The article examines the shortcomings of GDP as a measure of well-being of a country, and then proposes alternatives that are of varying similarity. Some evidence from a recent survey from Taiwan is presented.
