| Abstract: | The central question of this article is: does the IE of today and tomorrow obey the dictates of the past that view people as simply 'hands and backs' and 'brains' or do they begin to realize the importance of people in a more holistic, personal, and humanistic manner? A humanistic approach to IE breaks past paradigms but leaves few clues about what the new paradigm will encompass. |
