Abstract:This paper reports on two qualitative and quantitative researches which explored users' affective reactions to a group of office chairs. The aim of this comparison was to provide greater understanding the design process and how users' affective preferences influence it. The analysis was based on interviews and participants' sensory information. The paper identified a set of critical product attributes that appeal to users.
