Abstract:Amendments to the Broadcasting Act were performed in Canada, however, there is too little money to take advantage of the possibilities. The Sound Recording Development Program ensures $25 million for records, video, radio productions and tours over 5 years but federal governments maintain the rights to control broadcast system. Radio stations face economic problems hindering them to compete with American radio. Only the industry seems to be profitable.
