Abstract: | Several changes have taken place in the Dutch TV; in 1980s satellite TV and pay- TV appeared. Music Box and Sky Channel can be received via cable. Recently good quality reception of BBC1 and 2 is also available. VCR penetration is also an important factor.To remain competitive in the market Dutch TV has extended its broadcasting hours: afternoon programs on weekdays, and late-night films at the weekends. A third TV channel is launched in April 1988. So far audience favours domestic channels. |
