| Abstract: | Total quality management represents a movement which is revolutionizing the way business is done in the industrialized world. Using points of agreement between the writings of the quality gurus, this paper develops a definition of TQM to serve as a reference point for those interested in doing research on this important topic. Once in a generation, perhaps, something happens that profoundly changes the world and how we look at it. Business is not different. From time to time, someone develops a new way of operation that spreads from industry to industry. |
