| Abstract: | Three factors are reviewed in deciding to switch to the in-house management of pension funds; size, the changing marketplace and the increasing globalisation of investment management to ensure the diversification of risk and the opportunity for better investment returns. The need for international expertise and the appointment of external managers is also noted. |
