Abstract:In the public, insider trading has been treated as something evil. However, some forms of insider trading can be beneficial to the greater investment community. This study analyzes the concept of insider trading and determines the positive and negative aspects of it. Those investors that are fraudulently harmed by insider trading should be identified before creating any legislation restricting insider trading.
