Abstract:As far as assessing expert systems for management is concerned, it is important to note that among them there are such which are totally integrated into the information system where the user cannot intervene because it autonomously searches out the necessary informations needed for decision making. On the other hand, some expert systems are independent and consultative: the user with the aid of a microcomputer can obtain necessary data to solve a problem. Between the two extremes there is a long range of expert systems. Therefore they must be examined from technical, human, organisational as well as managerial perspectives to assess them appropriately.
